Re-Opening Announcement
Hi everyone!
I am so excited to finally be able to give some good news!
We are opening Rancho Sierra and Desert Aire tomorrow, Friday – May 8th! We are opening with limited days/hours initially, but hope to extend them soon. To start, both courses will be open from 7am to 7pm, 5 days a week. Rancho Sierra will be open Wed-Sun (closed Mon and Tues), while Desert Aire will be open Fri-Tues (closed Wed and Thurs).
For our monthlies, you can use your monthly at the sister course on the days your home course is closed. For example, if you have a monthly at Desert Aire, you can use your monthly at Rancho Sierra on Wednesdays and Thursdays until the course reopens for those days. Also, we put all monthlies on hold on 3/22, our last day open. When you return to play, we will restart your monthly.
We are instituting the following policies:
- To ensure physical distancing, please make a tee time reservation in advance. We prefer that you book online as it can be hectic for the starter to check in golfers as well as answer calls. When you book your tee time online, you will have the option to pre-pay for your green fees/cart rental, which will also minimize check in times. Click here to book your tee time.
- Tee times have been adjusted to 10 minute intervals and limited to four persons, per the LA County requirements.
- Only one person is allowed at a time in the clubhouse. Please line up outside, a minimum of six feet apart. The starter will open the door to minimize touchpoints.
- One person per electric cart. Only exception is those living in the same household. Carts will be sanitized between rentals.
- Club rentals will not be available.
- We encourage payments by credit card or online.
- Only one group at a time on any tee box.
- Practice putting green and chipping area are closed to the general public and only available for lessons.
- The driving range is open, with a limited number of bays allowed. We have roped sections at Rancho Sierra so the number of golfers who can use the range at a time will be restricted.
- Please avoid touching flagsticks.
- Ball washers have been removed/covered.
- Water coolers at Rancho Sierra have been removed. You can purchase water in the clubhouse, as well as other canned or bottled drinks.
- Fountain drinks will not be available.
- At Desert Aire, bunker rakes have been removed. Please smooth your divot and tracks with your foot.
- When you complete your round, please do not congregate and vacate the premises at your earliest convenience.
- For now, we are limiting play to singles or family members. No groups, including Divot Diggers, Mens or Ladies Clubs, Skins or Clinics. We apologize, but we need to do our part to keep golf courses open.
- Clubhouse seating remains closed.
- We will continue to sanitize touchpoints frequently throughout the day.
We reserve the right to change this list as needed. The county is allowing us to open with the understanding that we will do what we can to minimize the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience and hope you and yours remain safe and healthy.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you soon!
although I now live in the Great State of Texas I am rooting for both your golf courses. I have always enjoyed my time playing @ Ranch sierra and I pray for your success.
Thank you Peter! We miss seeing you but I’m glad you are enjoying Texas. Hope you and yours are safe and healthy! – Michele
