Welcome!
Hi everyone,
As most of you know, both courses continue to be open from 6:30am – 7pm with limited days – Rancho Sierra is open every day except for Monday while Desert Aire is open from Fri – Tues (closed Wed/Thurs).
I realize my aerification email confused several golfers, while my clarification email only further confused everyone. My sincere apologies! So let’s try again – While we punched the greens at Rancho Sierra this past Monday, the course will be open as usual (every day except for Monday). Desert Aire will keep the same schedule as usual (closed Wed/Thurs). Rancho Sierra monthly members can choose to use their monthly (at no additional charge) at Desert Aire for one more day, Friday, Sept 25th.
We are seeing lots of new faces these days! We love this renewed interest in golf – I believe even after the coronavirus threat abates that people will continue to see the benefit of open air exercise and camaraderie with friends on a golf course. Please welcome these newcomers to the great game of golf!
It is well worth reiterating some golf rules and etiquette so we can all continue to enjoy the game together:
- Pace of play – please keep up with the group in front of you. If you choose not to keep up, let the group behind you play through. They may not ask, so you can beckon them to tee off ahead of your group.
- Golf Cart use – please keep the golf carts on the golf course property and no closer than 20 feet from the edge of the greens.
- Hole jumping – please be considerate when jumping holes. Do not jump to a hole if you will impede the play of other golfers.
- Groups – please limit the number of golfers in your group to four. Only the starter has the discretion of allowing groups of five, under certain circumstances.
- Outside alcohol and coolers – these are not allowed. If you bring outside alcohol onto the property, we could lose our alcohol license. If you need to bring a cooler for medical or other reasons, please let the starter know.
- Walkers – Golfers can bring non-golfing walkers as long as they respect the rules of the course.
- Music – We allow you to play music on the course as long as it does not bother other golfers.
- Riders – Golfers can bring non-golfing riders, but they will be charged for their seat in the golf cart.
- Golf Cart drivers – You must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart.
- Clubs – Each golfer must have their own set of clubs and bag. We rent sets of clubs if needed.
- Replay – A replay is 9 holes only.
- Children – For safety purposes, children under the age of 5 are not allowed on the golf course.
- Pets – Pets are not allowed on the golf course or range.
- Masks – LA County protocol dictates the wearing of masks inside the clubhouse and when you are within 6 ft of others.
- Water on the course – Due to LA County protocols, we have removed all water on the course. You can purchase bottled water in the clubhouse.
Thanks for understanding! One more comment I’d like to make – the starters and marshals are responsible for managing play on the course. Therefore, please respect their authority. If you have issues or concerns, please reach out to me directly at info@ranchosierragolf.com.
Thanks to all who have reached out with questions/comments. Please continue to do so by sending us feedback via your digital receipt.
Thank you for your support! And please let us know if there is anything we can do to help improve your golfing experience.

Tips from Our Pro
I have found one of the most practical golf tools as of recent and wanted to share with you how effective it is. • It’s called the On Point Ball Marker. • The On Point Ball Marker is MUCH more than just a marker. • It makes for a great Alignment Aid along with a very visual guide to enhance a square impact position with hands forward during the ball strike as Tara is demonstrating.
As far as putting goes it is three dimensional so you can mark your ball and walk over to the other side of the green…look at your line and commit to the putt 100%.
The best part is that it fits in your pocket….No alignment sticks/impact bag/or carrying extra coins around. • All this in the size of a quarter and at the fraction of the cost!
