The Rancho Sierra Mens Club is still accepting new members, who will then be able to participate in their popular tournaments.
The Rancho Sierra Mens Club’s next away trip is scheduled for September when we will be guests of Horse Thief Golf Course in Tehachapi . You have the option of playing in our Low-net tournament including closest to the pin contests for only $10. Non-members are more than welcome to play along with us! Green fees and tee time TBA. You can sign up on the board in the clubhouse or contact us by email.
The Annual President’s Cup began on July 12. The President’s Cup is our only match play tournament of the year. 10 golfers have registered and the winner will be determined in early August. Good luck to those who have entered.
Other events coming up include:
- The Summer Classic – Partners/Best Ball tournament, August 23
- Away Outing/Tournament at Horse Thief in September
- Golfer of the Year tournament – October 4
- And the big one – a two-day trip to Primm to play both the Desert and Lakes Courses. This fabulous weekend is scheduled for October 17-18. More details will be coming soon.
Become a member, (if you’re not already), and you can join us for these wonderful events. The MENS CLUB NOW OFFERS A SUMMER SPECIAL! If you join during the month of August, your dues for the rest of 2015 will be only $40 instead of the usual $50. After you’ve posted a few rounds, you will be given a certified Golf Handicap thru GHIN which is valid at any course in the United States.
Do you already have a GHIN handicap through another club? Then you can become an associate of the Rancho Sierra Mens Club for only $20! Associates are eligible to play with the Mens Club events, including the Major Tournaments. Ask one of the officers on how to become a member or associate or ask the Rancho Sierra starter for a membership application.
Do you ever get confused at some of the rules of golf? Yeah, me too. Some of the rules have been changed or modified over the years so often there are differences of opinion on how a certain shot or situation must be handled. Click on any of the links below for some interesting videos I found on YouTube. Enjoy.
Finally, don’t forget the ultimate golf etiquette. Respect the course, your fellow players, yourself, and the game of golf.
